A local online creative writing group Hutchinson_Island_Writers_Group@yahoogroups.com with a biannual online writing journal www.agoldenplace.com . Members participate in an online weekly critique group and attend and share information from writing seminars. We publish members’ writing and vote on outside submissions received from soliciting at a variety of venues. New issues are published online every March and September.

We are accepting new members and request that anyone interested in joining submit a sample of fiction, nonfiction, or two poems for our consideration. Memoir Writing Group/Writing Class

A memoir-writing group meets from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays. A writing class taught by author Pat Martin meets from 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays. Martin, who writes mostly children's books, said the free classes involve both instruction and critiques by fellow members.
